A new wave of short clips linked to Russian content creator Yaysteslav Trahov have made headlines across Ghana’s digital space, turning timelines into a never-ending stream of reactions, debates, and viral reposts.
Yaysteslav, also known as Russian Balthazar by online users, gained to popularity following his scandalous videos with Ghanaian women, which sparked outrage and spread quickly across Telegram, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
Since then, his name has been one of the most popular search terms in entertainment and trending news this week.
One of the most widely shared controversial videos that sparked debate was the street introduction clips, in which he casually introduced himself to Ghanaian women in public places.
His relaxed tone, calm reactions, and approach to the ladies immediately captured the attention of the viewers, allowing the clips to spread widely.
Trahov’s accent when interacting with the women gained traction among online users, despite the fact that he normally admits to not being fluent in English when speaking about his experience in the country and what surprised him the most.
His other popular videos focus on Ghanaian culture and lifestyle, with scenes of him exploring cities and showing food spots, transportation moments, and casual conversations.
Despite projecting Ghana culturally, Yaysteslav’s unexpected encounter videos with numerous Ghana women received the most attention of any other content he filmed in the country.
The allegations stem from the influencer’s affairs with numerous ladies in hotels and guest houses after meeting them on Accra’s streets and in malls.
In most of his videos, he uses the popular slogan “come with me” to signal his intention to make love with them.
Among his viral intimate sessions were receptionists, shoppers, and married women, whom he recorded with a hidden camera from his spectacles while in appropriate positions on beds and sofas.
Yaysteslav’s video with the female receptionist shows him forcefully touching the lady after inviting her into the room due to his intentional inability to use a microwave, a move he made to get her, which ultimately worked.
The shopper’s occurred when she was spotted setting up the bed while Yaysteslav was sitting happily on a sofa, recording before the encounter began.
After the videos went viral, Yaysteslav quickly made them private on his TikTok page, but by that time, fans had already downloaded and compiled them for reposting following extensive backlash.
The success of the Russian Balthazar trend is driven by a variety of factors, including the storyline, relatable public interactions, and the high shareability of short viral clips on Telegram TikTok, where they spread faster than long videos
