Fans of Amapiano star Tebogo G Mashego, the voice behind the massive hit “Biri Marung,” have been left concerned after a photograph circulating on social media appeared to show the young musician restrained on a hospital bed.
The image has sparked questions about Mashego’s current condition and whether he has once again received medical care following previous concerns surrounding his wellbeing.
However, there has been no official confirmation from Mashego, his family, representatives or medical authorities confirming the circumstances surrounding the latest photograph or where it was taken.

The latest concerns come after Mashego recently made a series of highly publicised claims on social media.
On 20 September 2026, he posted a video claiming that money generated from the Scorpion Kings LIVE at FNB Stadium event belonged to him.
The claims once again brought attention to his long-running dispute surrounding “Biri Marung” and his disagreements with DJ Maphorisa.
The latest posts have attracted significant attention from fans, with some expressing concern about the young artist and asking whether he is receiving the support he needs.

This is not the first time Mashego’s behaviour has raised concern among the public.
In September 2025, shortly after returning from Nigeria, the musician was involved in a public incident in Laudium, Tshwane.
Police were called after Mashego reportedly displayed abnormal and violent behaviour. Officers subsequently removed him from the community for his own safety and the safety of others before taking him to a local hospital for medical evaluation.
A common-assault case was also opened following that incident.
His family later released a statement asking the public and media to respect their privacy while they dealt with the situation.
The family also said that any future updates would be communicated directly by them and asked fans to continue supporting Mashego through their prayers.
